The ejector ring for bassoon reeds is used to easily detach the reed from the mandrel after the wire has been fixed. In addition, by using an ejector ring you avoid twisting the reed when pulling it off the mandrel, which would otherwise lead to undesired blade slippage.
Due to it's unique design, the ejector ring can be set to any desired position on the mandrel.
The ejector ring fits on all mandrels with a maximum diameter of 6 mm, and can also be used as a depth stop on our spiral-fluted and diamond-coated reamers. So that your reeds are always formed the same way without having to worry, how far above or below the line you form your reeds.
We also have a different size for Contrabassoon mandrels as well.
